CACnigeria.ng ("we", "us", "our") is an independent, private business registration filing service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria or the Federal Government of Nigeria. We assist individuals and businesses with filing their CAC registrations through official channels.

2. Information We Collect

When you use our service, we collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Information: Full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, residential address, nationality.
  • Identity Documents: National ID (NIN), international passport, or driver's license number and scanned copies.
  • Business Information: Proposed business names, nature of business, business address.
  • Payment Information: Transaction references processed through Paystack. We do not store credit/debit card numbers.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage analytics via cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To process and file your CAC registration application.
  • To communicate with you about your application status.
  • To verify your identity as required by CAC regulations.
  • To process payments securely through Paystack.
  • To improve our services and user experience.
  • To comply with legal obligations under Nigerian law.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your personal data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Identity documents are stored in Firebase Storage with restricted access. We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure API endpoints, and access controls.

5. Third-Party Sharing

We share your information only with:

  • Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC): As required to file your registration.
  • Paystack: For payment processing. Governed by Paystack's own privacy policy.
  • Google Firebase: For data storage and hosting infrastructure.

We never sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your application data for a minimum of 7 years as required by Nigerian business regulations. You may request deletion of non-essential data by contacting us at privacy@cacnigeria.ng.

7. Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data we hold.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Object to processing of your data for marketing purposes.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
